Default East Branch Swift River MA

Greetings Fellow Anglers,

I am looking to connect with people who fish the East Branch of the Swift River in Central Mass. We are building a second home in the area and I would like to learn about the fishery. Please drop me a line.

Best regards,

Paul

Hi Paul,

I'm not from Mass. and not familiar with the river but when I noticed your location I wondered......................... Although I never used Mass. as a destination I have been there on business and traveled through using various routs when commuting back & forth from Maine to Pennsylvania over a period of 14 years. never have I been in or near East Sandwich MA. Where is that?

Ard

It's on the north side of Cape Cod, just east of the Cape Cod canal.

Hello,

Sorry for the delay. I was on Martha's Vineyard and just returned. The Cape has good pond fishing. There are deep ponds/lakes and reclaimed kettle ponds that are stocked regularly by our local hatchery. There are four decent ponds within a couple of miles of my house.

I am building a second home / fishing camp in Central Mass off Rte. 2. It is near the East Branch of the Swift River and Quabbin Reservoir.

Have you fished the Deerfield River? It is arguably the best fishery in MA. I have a float trip planned with Tom Harrison on April 18th.

I hope that helps.

Best Regards,

Paul
