    Default Rogan's Fiery Brown

Not a fly i would often tie, but it was for a contest. I wasnt happy with the wing, so it will now be stripped and retied. there should also be blue macaw horns there too. I omitted them.

Simply fly to tie really. Hook here is 2/0

pattern as follows for those who might like to swing it sometime

Tag: Gold Twist and Light orange silk
    Tail: GP topping
    Butt: Black Ostrich Herl
    Body: Fiery Brown Seals fur
    Rib: Gold Tinsel
Hackle: From the first turn of tinsel, fiery brown and blue
    Throat: fiery Brown
Wing: Golden Pheasant tippet in strands between Broad strips of bronze mallard
    Horns: blue Macaw
    Head: Black Ostrich Herl

I agree with you John and with the winter looming strong I figure I'll do up at least a pair of those for the trout box. I'm thinking that tied on a Bartleet #6 this is a good grayling fly for the fall. Very nice work I don't care what he says about the wing.

Anywhere can be the land of great expectations, broken dreams, or paradise found, it's all up to you.
