Color variations add some fun to this old pattern.

I'm using a stockpile of loose natural/dyed strung Peacock herl I have laying around.....so the wing is a little messy. It's not so easy aligning 50 perfectly to make a nice curved wing. Maybe a little sparser wing on the next attempts.

The cleaner and more preferred method is to use the herls from the "eye" of the tail feather.
