Orange and Pink Feather Wing

A variation of Marty Howard's Orange and Pink Feather Wing. These just flat out look cool. Maybe a little heavy on the dressing...but looks fishy to me.



Hook - Daiichi Alec Jackson 1.5
Tip: fine silver oval tinsel
Tag: pink floss
Tail: Dyed pink Golden Pheasant crest veiled with a natural golden pheasant tippet
Rib: Wide pearl Mylar followed by silver oval tinsel
Body: Three equal part of pink, light orange and fire orange dubbing
Hackle: Extra large pink schlappen and orange Whiting Spey hackle
Collar: Pink guinea
Wing: Four orange hackle tips
Eye - Jungle Cock nail
Head - Orange thread w/ Loon UV cure goo

I'll try. I fish alone most times which makes picture taking tricky. I will be in the Seattle area next week...so I might sneak out for a day or two. Stay posted..... looks like most rivers are blown out. My luck.

I think it’s great! The dressing says winter steelhead. Flies and tubes similar to that and way bushier and bigger are our top producers.
