While thumbing through the most recent copy of 'Swing the Fly' magazine....I was drawn to the article by Sean Dahlquist on Prawn Flies. This is my chartreuse and green version of his Sparkle Shrimp.......which is a modern version of the tried and true grub salmon fly. Old meets new.......
Intergalactic Grub
Hook - Alec Jackson 1.5
Tag - Medium silver oval tinsel
Tail - Medium yellow pheasant rump
Body - Chartreuse cactus chenille rear and Green cactus chenille front divided by another yellow pheasant rump feather
Wing - Jungle cock spade
Eyes - Jungle Cock nails
Collar - Caddis green pheasant rump with a couple turns of black burnt goose shoulder at front
Head - Black thread with Loon UV cure
