    Smile Mc Nerney's minnow

A few weeks ago Larry sent me a nutria fur and I tried to see how I could use it,so I tied a dry,a nymph and a streamer .Here's the streamer pattern named Mc Nerney's minnow

If I had more time I would have tied some for you and Ard with pleasure...here's the recipe. It's very easy to tie
    Steamer hook size 5
    black unithread 6/0
    body:angel hair holographic
back:2mm nutria strip.(about twice the hook length) a rabbit strip is ok too.
    throat and tailrange maraboo.
    plastic eyes.
I usually take off the barb with a mini drill. This kind of steamer is to use with a sinking or intermediate line.

Good idea Larry. It's the first time I give the recipe of a fly before seriously testing it....but I think it should work.
Here's a funny dialogue you may hear some day...
Fisherman:Excuse me sir,I've been watching you for a while and I've seen you caught many fish.Would you be so kind to tell me what you're fishing with?
Larry:Oh with pleasure!I use a Mc Nerney streamer, don't you know it?
