  1. Default Telling the difference between a dry and wet fly in your box

Is there a certain way you can tell the difference between telling the two apart when they are scattered in your box? I'm fairly new and it kind of messed me up today when I was doing trial and error looking for a dry. Thanks a lot.

Dsssox13: I'm confused why you are asking the same question as the previous thread (or maybe I don't understand your question): How to tell the difference between a wet and dry fly in your box

Take a look at the Orvis site: Fishing Flies | Fly Patterns | Fishing Tackle | Realistic Flies for Fly Fishing|Flies -- Orvis
If you scroll to the bottom of the page you will see a listing:
    Dry Flies
    Nymphs
    Streamers
    Wet Flies
    etc.
Click on each page and take a look, you will soon see differences and be able to tell a dry fly from a wet.

Dry fly hackle is 'pointy' when you touch it to your lips
    Wet fly hackle is soft.
