Thread: First skaters

  1. Default First skaters

Thought I would try hand at tying some skaters. They seem to have come out pretty good. I know chenille will make them kinda heavy when it gets soaked but the color is one that has caught me a LOT of salmon and few winter runs so I had to tie a couple with it.

So what do you think? Kinda crude but seemed to out fairly even. Hopefully something will either find them tasty or simply want to kill the ugly bug floating past them.

They'll do just fine. For the chenille you could give it a good shot of water shed the day before and they should float finest kind.

How much does color matter on a surface fly for:
    Summer runs
    Winter Runs
    Coho
    Chinook
