Default Marabou Clouser

I was looking through my old Fly Tyer magazines and noticed an article on clousers. I have been using buck tail clousers for trout & some bass fishing as well, but haven't messed with any of the marabou style. Has anyone used these before? I could see a smaller version of these working well for crappie...

Thanks

Ryan

It's likely to have a leech appearance, rather than a clouser, when wet. Not saying that wouldn't be effective for crappie, but I doubt it would out perform a commonly used weighted leech pattern such as a wooly or a simi seal.

The over arching advantage of clouser designs is they ride hook up. Which, in some cases, could out perform other leech patterns

Pay attention to marabou length X hook length or you'll most certainly get fouling...unless you only spey/roll cast everything
