Wow, I never realized that most of the guys on the forum were bachelors. When I want something really cold like say a case of beer, I just look at the wife and say something like "Do you know why all wedding dresses are white? That's the color all new appliances come in!" Then quickly raise the beer up to eye level to block my view (and keep me from turning to stone), and viola! Ice cold beer!

Naturally if you want something frozen you have to say something really clever like "why don't you go buy some new jeans, those look like they're getting really tight on you." And just like that, flash frozen.

I had one of those brown Thermos brand metal coolers for a long time, think 1978 through 1993. It was some how left behind when I moved from VA. back to PA. I miss it, I like old stuff, especially my old stuff. I have a bunch of coolers, the last one purchased is the Igloo version of the Yetti. It works well, it's tough but there's a problem. When I need Ice to last I need it to last for 7 - 10 days and have that cooler filled with frozen provisions for camp. The cooler alone is heavy, I mean heavy large and hard to handle empty. Add a few blocks of ice - a bunch of frozen food and I don't know what it weighs but wouldn't hesitate to guess 70 pounds or there about. It's a chore getting that thing out of the boat and then up over a riverbank. Once you've got that part covered you better hope camp isn't another 40 yards away.

I've got my boat trailer fixed and am actually leaving for the cabin tomorrow. I'm carrying beer no ice and a small cooler with cream for coffee and a sandwich in it. All meals will be Mountain House and the big expensive cooler will be home.

You need a Yeti handcart for all your equipment.

And you'll need a Yeti hernia truss. Money back Yeti guarantee.
