Default Paying it forward. Couple free reels.

Today I had waiting at my doorstep a Martin 63 that's gonna look mighty fresh on my 6' Herters. It was given to me free by Craigthor here on NAFFF. Since it's replacing a previous reel on that rod. It needs a new home. And what better way than to pay it forward.

It's a 450 Olympic. It's a simple click medalist clone. Click is still loud and strong and sounds great when you let a bass or big bluegill take it for a ride. Would match a later vintage glass well or would work just fine as a line holder on anything else up to about 5wt.

I also have a Shakespeare 1094 free to a good home. Should hold line up to a 7wt with little backing. Simple click design. Good line holder.

if anyone that works with youth or such groups that could use these reels. Let me know. Otherwise anyone else just getting into the sport or getting their kid into the sport. These reels will do all they need to do to get one started fly fishing.

    Well done sir...

I was going fly fishing until my wife suggested it, now I can't tell who is outsmarting who!

Being "one with nature" requires a knowledge of what animals are living nearby and a weapon of sufficient magnitude to give you at minimum an equal chance of survival. No one has an invisible aura that animals can detect and sense your good intentions.
