Default Sage Performance Taper II Fly Line - any good?

I've got the opportunity to buy this line for about half price and was wondering if anyone had any opinion on it?
On the whole, I'd rather be in Wyoming . . .

It's a good line. Sage's sister company, Rio, produces it. It has a good all around trout taper. It has a nice slick finish.

edit: The half off version that you are getting is last year's line. It lacks have a welded loop. The 2010 version of this line has the welded loop.

I know this is some serious Necro-posting, but any more info on the Sage Lines?

They are again on clearance at Cabelas ($29) and I'm curious.

Necro posting...that's a good one! I switched all my lines from 2-9wt over to Sage Performance Taper II's. I like them that much.

Are these all 1/2 weight over lines? Meaning heavy for fast taper rods?

I believe these are 1/2 over lines. Sage says designed to work with our fast action rods or something to that effect. I have one in 4 weight and it matches well with the Z-Axis.

Never weighed 'em or whatever, no clue. They just work good on Loomis NativeRun GLX's, Sage RPL+ and a variety of Orvis rods. I guess you get to draw your own conclusions, I don't know anything about line weights beyond what it says on the box.

I fished one on my 6wt VXP for two seasons. I was happy with it, not sure if it's a 1/2 wt line though.
The best way to a fisherman's heart is through his fly.
