It does make the same noise if you are talking about the friction noise through the guides

Not a problem. I’m a sucker for textured lines in spite of the noise!
Than you should go have a look on STP, the lines are on sale for 39 bucks or so .

It's pretty mild, in comparison to SA's original Sharkskin texturing.

Yes, I have the 10wt Tarpon Wavelength and it’s so annoying I won’t even cast it anymore. I figured I would take a chance because it was on sale but now I realize why.

I have the wavelength mpx wf5f on a sage one and it has a very slight noise through the guides. Shoots line well and lifts off the water very well. I basically bought it for the color but don't care for the noise so putting it on the bench after one season.
