Thread: Oversized Welded Loop On Rio Shooting Line

  1. Thumbs down Oversized Welded Loop On Rio Shooting Line

Does anyone know the deal w/the huge welded loop on the end of Rio's shooting lines? It gets caught in the guides, and the "loop to loop" footprint becomes ungirthed on the welded end loop due to its length. Probably should just hack it, since I won't be swapping out heads.

Likely that big so you can pass the loop over the whole spool, instead of having to pull the whole head through. Handy, but not necessary. I generally rig backing up like this with a spider hitch so lines can be swapped out a bit quicker.

I'd rather hunt fish than bait deer any day.
