Thread: Bibio Snatcher

  1. Default Bibio Snatcher

This is not really my bag but a freind who has been serving abroad has asked me to do this for him. I am not sure how well this fly would go stateside as Loch Style fishing from a driffting boat may not be that popular. Hey if I am wrong happy to be corrected

Nice job on the snatcher. I have never seen one over on this side, but I will give it a go next time I am on the lakes.

Just bought a wind sock for the tin boat. I'm very interested in Loch style fishing. Something different than what I'm used to. I'll have to have Joni tie up a few. I'm not sure we have them (March flies) around the west, but a good fly imitates more than one species. Maybe try it in different colors to match other diptera.

Thanks for the comments guys, the fly represents a number of generic insects that are blown onto the water.
