    Default Bent Penny Speckled Trout Fly

    Here is a good flats fly if you need some distance or using a 6wt. It works great in grass with a loop knot where the tag end aims towards the fly. You don't have to put the UV resin bead on it but that deflects weeds from the point. Watch the video you'll see what I mean.

    Looks good! I seem to recall a very similar pattern, older fly called the Copper Liz, originated by Liz Steele. It's in Lefty's book of Saltwater Fly Patterns.

    I like those bendback style of flies anyway! Work well for all kinds of fish!
