If anyone out there has the manual for the original Lamson LP reels... I would love to get a copy.

    Thanks,

If by "manual" you mean the four page fold out that came with the reels, I have one and will happily scan it and e-mail it to you. PM me your e-mail address.

Great..... that's what I'm looking for. This thing is a little different to any others I have and I want to make sure I maintain it properly.

    Thanks again.....

This reel is buried somewhere in the thread but I never said you couldn't post the same thing twice did I?

I use this a lot, it's my reel for an 11 1/2 foot Hardy Swift 7 weight. The Swifts have a full size handle with a good long rear cork so they are a Spey rod, albeit a short one they are sweet casters. The Taupo is a perfect match for the Swift and every time I get it out I enjoy it more.

From the kid leather case with genuine shearing for llining it's a nice package.

I don't know when I'll buy another reel so I'll probably just update the thread with what I currently have here. I did get a new Sage Domain #10 last year but don't know if I have any pictures of it.

I forgot to add when posting; those little reels can land a 50 pound king salmon on an 11'6" Hardy Swift rod. It was an accident, I had no idea there was a fish in that run the size of that.
