This one is coming off the shelf this year...an unfished Bauer MXP1. It's spooled up and ready for an inaugural dunk next Tuesday on a cold mountain small stream. This reel is a beauty with a large arbor and narrow spool...marries up nicely with Winston green.

Just a little late with this, it is in the mail at this time on the way to Michigan to a new owner...…….

When those reels came out I bought the 3 3/8" the Taupo 3 3/4" and the 4 1/4" mega wide spool models. Now I only have the 4 1/4 left in my reel collection, if it doesn't get much use this year it'll join the others.

I love the Hardys but have transitioned to more modern designs I guess.

My new to me Hardy Perfect 3 3/8 wide spool I got from Ard. Just as he said, in brand new condition, not a mark on it. It came with the original box, owner's manual and the Hardy block leather case. This reel will be gracing my bamboo rod as well as my vintage Fenwick glass rods. Very well pleased. The pictures are ones that Ard took to advertise the reel.

    Thanks Again Ard!

I was wondering when that one would show up here Denny

You'll have many years together with that reel and I hope you catch some beauties with it along. Tip: if you get a really strong one and need more tension than the check provides use your fingers against the exposed back plate to add a little more You'll figure out the tension screw and get to remember to always turn it all the way off when the day is done. They actually have one of the strongest clicker drag systems I've ever owned and the sound when you get one big enough to strip out some line is just perfect.
