Love the small streams so needless to say, I got this Able, complete with Brook Trout finish, for myself for my birthday last year...

Nice reel, and great fly box! I'm thinking of starting a fly box love thread now

Great idea. mine are a mess of bit and bobs, just random flies everywhere.
I seem to tie more flies for others than for myself!!

ghocevar: fabulous reel, that finish is gorgeous. Great stream shot and general composition of the photo as well. Hat's off to you for that one.

After 5 years I and use on several different rods, I have officially retired my Battenkill Mid Arbor.

Good eye! It is the Touch...6ft 1wt. Pic was taken in the backwoods of West Virginia. It's a peach of a small mtn stream rod!

Not counting my boyhood Medalist, the LRH Lightweight was the first fly reel I bought as a (so called) adult to go with my Scott Pow-R-Ply yellow glass 8 footer. Must have been 71 or 72...still have it of course.
