Nice, The TR2's, I have one with the wooden insert on the back.
For me, I think the Ross R2 was, and still is a classic design.
Quite fond of this though.

I have the Orvis 7/8 SSS and love it. Mine has the Orvis crest on the center of the drag knob. Well made reel of 80's design.

The drag is superbly smooth. It is very easy to take apart and clean after a rough exposure to saltwater, something I wish newer reels allow.

Ugh I hate you I have been checking out the Super 5N all week hahaha I really hate that it comes in 10000 different colors and I cant decide which one is better haha

This page has been filled with nice reels, those Abels are gorgeous, but I must make my humble contribution to the thread. A brand new Orvis Battenkill Bar Stock II fly reel arrived today. I really wanted a Galvan Brookie, or a Hardy Lightweight, but it I liked this reel a lot and buying it for $100 meant I can get fly line sooner and get fishing.

It is on my Winston BIIt 8' 3wt. I think the nickel silver reel seat compliments the finish on the reel nicely.
