Default Ever need a reel repaired or refurbished?

I recently had to have some work done on an older reel that is no longer manufactured. The manufacturer referred me to this fine fellow. He does great work and his prices are not at all out of line.

Fysh: Thanks for posting the link, that information might come in handy in the future! I've had reels break in the past and just threw them out as I didn't know what to do for the repair.

I highly recommend Archuleta's Reel Works. I have seen some his work. One of my friends lost a dust cap for an old Marryat. Within three days, my friend had a freshly machined dust cap mailed to him that fit just like the OEM piece.

    Hi Everyone,

I can also recommend Archuleta's Reel Works. He can do complete restorations of older reels and as Mosca mentioned he can make parts as needed. You need to understand that his work is very specialized and you should not expect it to be inexpensive. I recommended Archuleta's to a NAFFF member who had a Hardy Reel to rebuild. The member later told me the price was too high and he decided not to have the work done. Work at this level does come at a price.

I wonder if he would want to be a sponsor on the forum?
