  1. Default Drag System on Redington AS & AL

Does anyone know what the difference (if any) of the drag system on these two reels? I know that the AL is a mid arbor design and the AS is not.

I have several Brakewater reels and the drag is top notch but I have not been able to find the internals of either the AS or AL.

    Thanks,
    Quinn

I own 4 AL's and never had a problem with them, I use 3 for salt water for my 9/10 wts. and have used a 3/4 for steelhead out west..probally the same drag as the brakewater reels.I know the AL and AS was made at the same place orvis was getting reels overseas.

I think I answered my own question. I just found exploded views of both reels and it looks like the main difference is arbor size and cosmetics. The drag looks the same.
