    Default pflueger medalist question

recently picked up yet another old medalist(1492) for a steal on the big auction
site. i thought it was in way worse shape than the sellers picture, but turns
out it was just caked in dust and dirt.
after a good cleaning and some lube, i put some new backing and a new
wf3 cortland sylk line on it. ready for action
my question is what year do you guys think it was manufactured?
i did a bit of research and was thinking mid-late 50's.....
    what say you?

This is Rip Tides specialty Casey, he'll spot the thread and answer. I have one of those that I picked up in the late 70's, it's all about where they were built to tell you when they were built. Seems that Pflueger moved around the country a bit and different locations of manufacture are the dating tools.

Anywhere can be the land of great expectations, broken dreams, or paradise found, it's all up to you.

What is printed on the bottom of the reel foot? This will also help with pinpointing the year it was made.

1959 was the first year where "Made in Akron O. USA" appeared on the frame.
1960 was the last year that it said "Trade Mark" on the spool
