I have an original Teton Tioga and a newer Teton Magnum, they have been solid reels for the price. Full cage frames, very tough. I heard the company was sold and relocated, not sure if they are still being made. milt
I have had a few of the older Tioga models. I love them them. The anodizing on them is pretty tough. The only thing I noticed with the Tioga models is a little side to side play on the spool. No wobble. My 10LA has a lot of miles on it (in salt) and no complaints. They aren't really made for weight weenies. But if you want a well made USA reel at a reasonable price, this is one of them.
I have had a few of the Teton models also. A bit nicer finish and tighter tolerances. I'm not sure what model the Classic would translate to.
If I remember corectly the drag was used under license from J. Ryall. (If I am wrong somebody please correct me). The Ryalls are great reels of basically the same design that have tighter tolerances than the Tetons.
Great reels and I hope they make it through the sell out. I want to replace some of the ones I sold and wish I hadn't.
