Default Hardy spare parts fyi.

I fish with an old Hardy Golden Prince and was hoping to have on hand a spare spring and pawl, "just in case". Spent some time looking for one on line, contacted a few sources, even Hardy here in the US and came up short in my quest. I did find a site that had them listed at $30 plus shipping which was a bit more than I wanted to spend since it was to really be a spare. After thinking about it for a while, I contacted Hardy in England. Yup, they had them. $14.00 and 4 days later it arrived in my mailbox here in the U.S.. An A-8 pack...2 springs and 2 pawls. I should be good for another 30 years.

Some of you may have already crossed this bridge, but for those who also have old reels I thought it might be of some interest.

Down that road many years ago and Hardy in the UK was 'Johnnie on the Spot' in sending me back up parts.
