Thread: Pflueger Medalist: Convert to right hand

  1. Default Pflueger Medalist: Convert to right hand

Alright so mine came left handed, and I've been looking around to see it there is a way to convert it, and of course I threw out the directions a week of two ago. Its a 1495, if pics are necessary to see what the medalist looks like, i'm more than ready.

    thanks in advance,
    Michael

look up fibreglassflyrodders on the net. They have a section on classic reels. enter the Medalist in the search block and it will bring up evreything about this reel...if you don't find your answer...type in your question and someone can help you. I may be mistaken but I thought the old Medalists were RH retrieve only...you must have a newer one. good luck

ya i think i have one from '94 cause it was in the box (well package, like a remote control comes in, that takes more time to open than to program to your tv!) but your site still might help! thanks wtex50!

The two smaller sizes are right hand wind only, larger ones are convertible
At one time the reels were all assembled RHW
Now they're LHW out of the package
The last one I bought, I switched over without checking 'cuz I reel lefty
It was only after I had it all reassembled that I realized it came LHW out of the package
So I have lots of practice

There should be directions right in the blister pack that look something like this
