Here is the answer, looks like it's not sealed but still a great reel:

Thanks for your message. Sorry for the delay in replying. None of our
reels including the Vexsis have a sealed drag system. This allows for
easier maintenance and cleaning. Based on the tolerances incorporated in
the drag design it is highly unlikely that silt and debris would migrate
into the internals of the drag. All of our reels are virtually
maintenance free and self-lubricating so there is no additional
lubrication in the reel to attract dirt or silt. If you have any further
questions feel free to contact us.

I had a chance to play with it at the Sportsman Expo here in Denver, and is constructed very well, to be expected. If your really looking into getting one and don't mind ordering online, check out the Blue Quill Anglers website which is a fly shop here in Colorado. You get a free flyline with the reel.
