Left to Right

A friend wants to sell me an Abel Big Game #3 reel. But it's left hand wind and I reel right. Can all those Big Game models be converted without sending back to Abel?

On the Big Game I believe you need a kit from Abel to convert from left to right.

If the drag plate has the square teeth it is relatively simple by unscrewing the pawls and flipping them over. If it is an older saw tooth plate, it has to be sent in. Here is the link to their page with instructions.

I am not sure, even a quick search on the web didn’t have any insight. I would reach out directly to Abel with specific serial numbers. Here’s their info
