Have you guys had much luck ordering snake guides? My first experience didn't go well; the #2's came with different finishes; I was suppose to get two #3's and two #4's, and instead got three 3's and one #4. It also looked like they were from different manufactures since the feet shape were different. For my second build I just went to my local fly shop and hand picked the guides myself.

I have not had that problem. Who did you get them from?

Hope it arrives soon. Maybe next time I'll just order a set, versus individual sizes. That way there's no chance the supplier will screw up pulling the parts out of inventory.

I got them from J Stockard. Everything else was great and I've ordered a second blank and grip from them. I was probably just unlucky with the guides.

I have ordered fly tying stuff from them, but never rods parts. After that I think I'll keep it that way. I get rod parts from a lot of different sources. I have never had that happen to me. I have had parts backordered before. I wonder if they mixed brands to avoid backordering?

Once again, if you want to be absolutely sure of the guides, the place to order is Golden Witch.

I have ordered some stuff from Golden Witch. I have never had a complaint. I got some turning blanks from them that were some of the nicest pieces of wood you have ever seen.

Casey,
The winding checks are in the mail. You should have them by Thursday or Friday at the latest.
