I work in customer service and would be ashamed to speak to clients like this.

    I hear you on that.

If you do have correspondence with them again, let them know that the little circus they threw at you cost them a sale of a bamboo blank and all of the materials to build it. (PM me if you want my name, address and phone number to pass along to them.)

I dealt with them 5,6 years ago. Same attitude back then. Haven't bought any thing since and I try to steer people away from them. I'm amazed they're still in business.

I was planning to order some things from them this fall but after this, not anymore.

Well, I called them this morning. I told an older guy that I wanted to buy his blank and before I could finish my sentence he cut me off and saying "just buy it already", OK..... but I need to find out about the butt diameter, then he said "it's on the website" and I told him that there was no specs for that blank anywhere in your website. The guy replied "it's around half an inch", OK..... I asked what grain window do you recommend for that blank. He replied "Call Steve Godshall, he got the numbers". Brilliant! and he sounded so so so irritated by my questions.

It took him less than 20 seconds to lose about $100 worth of a blank, handle kit, and guides that I had in the cart. I am gonna use the money for some Hawaiian BBQ this weekend. That's all folks. I am back hibernating again.

Insane that any company treats their customers that way. Guess they must have more business than they want!

If you want great service and product go with blue halo. I had questions regarding an order and I got two satisfying responses from the president and customer service. Anglers Roost blank markings

The guys over that my forum just placed a group order from ARE and they cut us a deal at 20% off. I ordered the 12' 2/3 & a single hander 3wt. For us Canadian folks with the exchange and duty it gets outrageous to say the least so for him to cut us a deal and ship an in one tube really helped. Also for $30 per blank we knew what to expect. I was interested in a 12' 2/3 and he has the only budget minded blank, otherwise it would be hundreds of dollars. If mine come with the lettering on them I will just remove them, I hate gaudy **** on a nice build. Cheers and thanks for the heads up
