I'm building a little 6' bamboo 2pc out of a damaged 9' 3 piece. My usual tools for reaming cork were too big around for the butt section of this rod. I'm using a one piece St Croix grip, so I needed something long enough and almost as slim as a pencil. A 3 piece set of chain saw files from Harbor Freight provides 3 different diameters, already wearing handles, for less than $ 7.00. I washed them off prior to filing the cork, and they work great.
