    Default Bamboo rod blank

Does anyone know where I can find a decent priced 4wt bamboo rod blank? I've been watching one on ebay but the bidding is jumping rapidly. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is an article that talks about buying a kit from High Desert Fly Rods. Here is what he said: I purchased my blank from a US rod builder, Scott Nilsson at High Desert Fly Rods, who said he was impressed with this imported blank for an entry level bamboo rod and said it was an ideal choice for a beginning rod builder. The blank cost $190.

you can get a very nice blank made for you specifically by someone who will listen to how you describe the waters you fish and suggest or recommend one of dozens of classic or modern tapers in the price range of $250-$450. this person would most probably help you along by phone or email and offer tips on each and every step of finishing.

names to look for include chris carlin, dennis stone, mike brooks, john channer, matt schliske, jeff wagner, tim zietak, jeff fultz, bob nunley, lee orr and philip smith of vandalia rodworks, aj thramer, michael shay
