I'd go with the Scott. The fit and finish is nicer, and it has a smoother touch than the Sage. The Scott tracks straighter, too.

I have a 4wt Scott A3 and agree with what MP has stated. The A3 is a great rod, very good craftman-ship and great action for fishing both weighted nymph rigs as well as dries.
Get the Scott, you will like it.
