I will venture a guess as to you are fishing on the s. Platte somewhere.

I am a unabashed Sage junky, Ive just never picked one up that didnt feel perfect. Two -TXL's, a ZXL and a ZAxis later. I would buy a Sage one in a heartbeat but I just cant justfiy a 9'3wt One when I have a 9'4wt Zaxis. If my Zaxis were a 5 then I would grab the One in a 3WT

hmmmmmmaybe I should.......nah :D

I have an LL right now in a 2 wt. The ZXL is my choice for sure, but, when I went to get one, I made the mistake of picking up a JWF. See I was looking for a 5 wt.
Great vid!

I understand that one; Marty's rods are all Winstons.

I have a Flight 890-4 and a VXP 990-4. I like them both but I haven't used the VXP yet except for practice casting...been fishing situations too rough for a nice rod :)

I have been fishing Sage rods since they were Fenwicks and could not compile an accurate list if I tried but my current go-to #5 is ONE. However, with much respect, I am not a Sage junkie...I am not a brand loyalist in general. I have great rods from many other designers and companies big and small, American and off-shore, well known and esoteric or out-of-buisness names.
