    Default 9' 6wt ?

Looking at the 9' 6wts for bigger water and streams for smallmouth and trout. Ive got it down to the TFO Pro II,Echo Carbon and Echo Solo. Any input ?

    Default 9' 6wt ?

I have a 6pc 9' TFO Pro 6wt, and I really like it for bass. I don't know how that relates to the Pro II, and I have no experience with the other rods. Sorry, I guess I'm no help.

IMHO the TFO Pro II 9' 6wt on sale at quite a few places for $100ish is a real bargain.

Got it for my oldest son which has become his go to rod for everything. He's caught bass to almost 3# and a myriad of brim (bluegill). When I actually get to use it I understand see why. It has a Med Fast action that is quite smooth and with WF6F can throw 75' with no problem.

TFO's warranty is the best, we've "car doored" this one and they fixed it very quickly for only $25. For a dad with 2 sons fly fishing thats a lots of doors and fly rods TFO's bullet proof warranty is huge.

PS.: might try the TFO Signature too as I love my 9' 5wt.

Echo Carbon. Not only are they cheaper on clearence but they add a tube which for me, adds to the value. I have a TFO Pro 8' 4wt and my wife has the Echo Carbon 8' 4wt and I like them both about the same.

Not sure what your looking at price wise, there are a few places offering Winston 9' 6wt GVX rods at quite a discount.

Last season I replaced my TFO BVK #6 with an ECHO3 #6. It may not go toe-to-toe with a 6-weight ONE (the best) but is a darn fine rod. The similarly mid-priced Rise Level Series #6 is another contender for most quality and performance for the dollar.

It got the better of me. I returned the Echo for a TFO Pro II 8.6' 5wt. 9' 6wt is just way more rod than I need. Thanks all.

I bought a Sage Flight 7wt 9' (discontinued, now Sage Response) on ebay for $150.00. I love it for bass here in Texas.
