    What difference does the name of the rod model make? Who cares? Performance and worksmanship is all that matters. Pretty sure that those are up to snuff. Seriously...? Complaining about model names?

    It's interesting to me, because as a latecomer to Sage rods (while Z-axis was top of the heap) I didn't know there was a naming convention. I could only afford my hand-me-down fiberglass Conolon until after grad-school circa (HA!) 2005.

    Easy there buddy boy, no need to get jacked up about it. Like I said before there are some of us that simply don't like the new names. Just like how some anglers don't like certain reel seats that don't look "traditional" it may hold no functional difference but is a matter of aesthetics. Many fly-anglers prefer gear made one way or the other, the point is its a matter of preference. The only one here that sounds like they're complaining is you. This is a discussion board, people talk about gear, what they like and don't like. Get used to it.
