Default Redington rod for sale....Advice?

Hello all,

I have recently found a redington 8wt, 9ft rod for a great price. I have seen that these rods are great for small to mid-range wts but I was wondering how well they worked for the bigger sizes? I was thinking about using this rod for pike, walleye, and lake trout.

Thanks again,

Don't know how much this helps, but I've purchased a couple of the Redington Crosswater rods in 9' 9 wt, and have no complaints. These are 2 piece rods, which I also have no problem with, and they cast fine for what I use them for, which is some Largemouth & Striped bass fishing in tidal rivers & creeks.

I purchased one rod as a back-up, then another for my son to use, and they've held up fine too.

It's a crosswater, and I'm specifically looking at a 9ft 4pc 8wt.

I'm also looking at the pursuit model.

I personally am not a fan of the crosswater... Though I do own a Predator and CT... Just didn't like it at all. I was pretty new at the whole fly fishing scene when I did own it though. So could've been something to do with that.
