Default My Winston b3x came today...

This rod is an amazing caster! That beautiful Winston green blows my mind. Teamed with a Rio carp line, this thing is a dream. I'm getting out soon to get me another carp. Can't wait! Will report back with pictures soon and its performance against carp, drum, Buffalo, and catfish!

Be sure to post a photo of the new rod and reel setup with a nice big Carp in the photo! Congrats on the new rod!

I gotta hand it to you, you're a rod hound buddy. This sounds like a great rod!

I will confirm that by saying that I'm a gear *****. I like flashy, shiny things. But, I think I'm good. I have everything I need for what I'm doing!

Beautiful stick. A 4wt or 3wt Biit is tempting me esp at the prices now. I could be a Winston fan in a heartbeat !

Enjoy that rod, pard.

Those rods have absolutely everything going for them. Sweetness!

What size and weight did you get? I use a 9.5', 7 weight for carp but sometimes think an 8 would be better.

I actually bought a 6 weight. I think I'll like the fight. However, if I feel that the carp are too big, I have a BVK 8 weight with the same line, ready to go. However, I think that after casting this rod, I might replace that BVK with an 8 weight version of this Winston... I've acquired the Winston bug... God save me!

You're just going to bust that 6 wt fishing for Carp, you better send it to me for safe keeping!

Seriously, those Winston rods are true craftsmanship, you will love that rod!
