I keep an Okuma Sierra with backing on it and line it for the 3/4 or 4/5 depending on which I buy myself each time. Have had 3 and will likely have 3 more before it's over. I think they are a cool gift because most folks don't know about them, or they don't believe it til they take it to a creek.

Sadly, I have a 6'6" older Orvis 2wt and in the long run, it wins every time

I bought one of these and it casts pretty good. Not to much effort and definitely slow. I can't wait to get some gills on it. I can tell that it's gonna bend under pressure from small fish. I bought the fl300-66. It says 4/5 weight but I have a wff3wt on there and I like the way it feels.

I have a couple of those. I took 2 beginners fly fishing and didn't let them use my orvis/sage stuff till they learned a little. Then the next day I pretty much let them use my good stuff and I played around with those featherlights. I was definitely used to fast action rods and although I think they're pretty they just feel loose to me and I had terrible accuracy with them. Can't complain too much for their price though!!!

I finally took mine fishing and although it is fun to fish with and a little junkie, I managed to tangle with some big gills. Lots of fun and even had a couple pull some drag on me. This rod is definitely a huge bang for the buck!

I keep buying them but also keep giving them away to kids. They are great little rods that you don't have to worry about.
