Scott G2 884
Scott G 904 (25th Anniversary)

Otherwise, all my fly fishing is on inshore/nearshore saltwater on the upper Texas Coast for just about anything that will take a fly there or in nearby freshwater.

I don't want to do this, because I'll realize all of the rods I have that are sitting around, not getting nearly enough use, but here goes:

Sage TXL 1710-3 -- custom built by me--twice!--and possibly for sale

Sage ZXL 280-4 -- custom built by me, never for sale

Scott F2 703/3

Sage ZXL 386-4

Epic Fastglass II 476/4 -- currently in build

Sage ZXL 486-4 -- custom built by me, and being re-built right now

Scott GS 884/4

Sage ZXL 590-4

Scott S3 905/4

Scott Radian 906/4 -- custom order with two butt sections, the regular trout, and FB; if there is a better western trout rod out there, somebody please clue me in

Scott Meridian 907/4 -- due here in a few hours from the fine folks at Telluride Angler, who now have more of my money than I do

Sub-Category -- Rods I "borrow" from my kids

Redington CTs in 376-4, 386-4, and 486-4

I fish northern NM, and southern and central CO. Most of my time is spent on small creeks, because with three kids it's easier for me to get out for a few hours, and the small streams are closer. It's like playing 9 instead of 18. Hence the heavy bias toward the shorter and lighter rods. When I can get out with a little more time on bigger rivers, the 5-weights and up come out to play, on the Rio Grande, San Juan, Arkansas, Animas, Blue, etc. But I do love my high mountain creeks.

The Meridian is a new venture for me, targeting bass and larger lake fish from a bass boat. I had been using my Radian 906/4 FB for that, but occasionally needed a little more "oomph" and lifting power, plus it's just fun as heck to bomb casts with that thing, if the testing session is any indication.

My favorite kind of fishing is in those small streams and creeks up high in our mountain ranges. Fortunately, we have many streams throughout New Mexico that are beautiful with smart, pretty trout: Rainbows, Browns, and our native Rio Grande Cutthroat, and Gila trout.

4 weight Headwaters bamboo 7'0"
4 weight Echo Base 8'0"
4 weight Sage LL 7'11"
4 weight Hardy Zenith 8'10 (one piece)
5 weight Hardy Zenith 9'0"
5 weight TFO TiCr Lefty Kreh 9'0"

6 weight Winston, 10'0" don't remember model

LMAO...you know why:) Each of those three quivers started with the purchase of one rod. I would have to sell off an entire quiver before buying one Scott rod...cause you know what would happen! :nono:

Scott GS 885

Sage One 864

And the true gem of my lineup:
Two-handed, DT (double tip), 3wt/5wt Albanian Midge-Swinging Rod (found it on ebay, it is super sweet)

Mostly fish, Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado. I have a trip planned in August to Albania during the height the midge swinging season! I am super stoked!!!!

You need to check out the new F Series by Scott! The 583 is the neatest little rod I’ve seen. I’m going to go after the 663 next spring after I add the G Series 844 this Fall.
