St Croix Legend Elite 7ft9in 3wt?

Any opinion regarding the 7ft 9 inch 3wt St Croix Legend Elite? It would be used to fish small eastern rivers and streams. Mainly with dry flies, but also the occasional soft hackle or small nymph.

I had one when they were first introduced, I'm thinking 1999 - 2000 not exactly sure. I found the rod to be largely unremarkable and eventually sold it. I already owned a 3 weight bamboo rod that is six foot six inches in length and preferred that as a small stream rod hands down over the graphite. Remember, you ask and I really did have one.....

Not a chance I would buy a fast and shortish 3WT without casting it first.

There is a review on Trident and the guy really likes it. He says the 379 has a more moderate action in the series. Cast it if you can and let us know what you think. ��
