Default Orvis Helios 6wt fly rod

Someone is selling a brand new Orvis Helios 6wt FLy rod (Freshwater) for only $600. But it doesn't come with the Helios rod case.

Is it worth it?

You can find a new one for less on ebay and a nice second hand one for a good price if you're patient...so...

Agreed. I would get the serial number and check with Orvis about lost/stolen rods. If the seller is legit, s/he won't mind giving the number to you to track it.

.............and no, even though I own a Helios and absolutely love it, I would not pay $600 for a used Helios missing the rod case.
