    Hey Everyone,

Sitting at the airport here and thinking about the fly I'm going to tie. Like a few others, new to tying and this is my first swap.

Right now, I'm thinking bead head rubber legs woolly bugger - size 8 or 10. I'll make one and put a pic up when I get back in town.

Does that sound ok? Also, I have lead wrap (the bead's brass) so if there's a preference for lead free, lemme know and I can do them without the lead.

    Thanks,

    Kai.

dcr and Kai foam spiders and a woolly bugger sound great

And Carman great to have you in the swap.

I'll PM my address for the swaps once we get a few more folks.

For those of you that might be new to tying, or looking for inspiration, here's a link to the "fly patterns" page of Ward Bean's excellent site Warm Water Fly Tyer:

Fly Patterns - Warmwater Fly Tyer - by Ward Bean

If you click on the links (written in orange letters) you'll find a bunch of patterns with easy to follow step by steps for all kinds of bass and panfish flies.

And as always, if you have questions on materials or techniques, feel free to holler in the general fly tying forum here.

Hey Guys, We don't have panfish or bass here in england-only sea bass, but perch, chub and carp are all partial to flies. If I do eleven(11) variants of Cat's Whiskers I*'m told do well with crappies over there will you add me to the list and pm me your address, Mark?. Byron Thiel
