First week of June it is. Thanks for letting me on board. I'm glad I came across you guys today, it was worth the trip.

    Here's what I'll be tying:

    KG's Spring Creek Scud:

And, here's the kind of fish we catch on it - note the mouth full of natural scuds:

Can't wait to see what everyone else ties.

Kelly: Very nice looking scud pattern! Would you mind sending me a PM with the receipe. I'm headed over to the Green River May 22 for a float and would like to tie up a few of those scuds before leaving.

Here you go. I also tie it in olive, but make sure it's an olive dubbing that holds it's color and doesn't go too dark - I have to mix my own.

Here's a pic of the olive one I tie:

    Spring Creek Scud

    Hook: DaiRiki 125 size #14/12
Thread: 8/0 Amber - or olive
Tail: Amber dubbing - or olive
    Rib: Pearl Krystal Flash
Shellback: Thin plastic bag strip - 1/8th inch for size #12 hook
Body: Amber dubbing – picked out and trimmed

Good luck and let me know how it works. I tie them in size 14 and 12. You may have to drop down a size or two depending on the water you're fishing.
