I'm there in a student capacity. If I get around to getting new battery I will definitely get some shots of the process.

A wee bit of info Re: The Cat's Whisker Fly i will be tying for this swap.

This was one of the hottest flies in my box when i fished the stillwater fisheries in Ireland.
I see no reason why it wont take trout, bass, whatever, this side of the pond.

I'm tying a Kennebec Charlie.........a weird little trout and bass fly I tried this summer right after I moved down here. Based on the CRAZY CHARLIE...but with some interesting variation for fresh water fish on the Kennebec River.

Watched a fella fishing in the Solon stretch catching trout and an occasional salmon on it. I got my first surreptiously....when he fouled in a bush. After he left I went and retrieved it from the limb. Was careful to search well in case there were more flies in that bush. Then I tied some of my own and tried it. Great sinking fly in faster water and drops to bottom in slack water.

I named it the KC for the river we were fishing. Looked online and can not find it pictured anywhere. Must have been an original concoction.

Brent sounds like a cool pattern, with a great name. Bonefish patterns for rivers in Maine, go figure...

Darts and dashes like a real baitfish on a fine tippet off a floating line. Trout seem to find it hard to ignore.

I should point out that my Slumpbusters will have a dubbed body instead of sparkle braid. It has been an excellent pattern for trout in streams and stillwaters.

I had some spare time this afternoon so I tied up the slumpbusters. Here is a list of the materials used.

    Dai-Riki #710 Size 8 (1X Strong 3X Long)
    Metz Black Conehead 3/16"
    Ultra Wire Brassie Copper
    Pine Squirrel Zonker Natural
    Ice Dub Orange

One thing I usually do when fishing these is trim the bottom portion of the collar back so the ice dub is more visible. With the small hook the squirrel covers the dubbing when wet. I have also caught plenty of trout on them without trimming the dubbing so who knows. I hope they work as well for you guys as they have for me!

    Great looking slumpbuster's Pab1.

Pocono - I figured folks will be preoccupied with the holidays, but if everyone gets theirs in before the due date, then they'll all go out sooner.
