new to fly swapping

When you guys swap fly's, do you keep them for good?

I never swapped but basically you make a fly for everyone in the swap. they make theres and you get there flies and they get yours. basically you trade them all your fly to get there flies. you keep um and use um or do what you please with um

I will use them till they are worn out, and then send them back for replacements. :wink:

its always wise to include the recipe for each fly so that they may be tied by the swap participants.

Ok. Well I just started tying about 2 months ago. Just started tying with deer hair. My first ones came out looking pretty decent. I am still learning alot. Thanks for info.

Until just recently I was tying and swapping flies two or three times a month. I'ld suggest it to all tyers as a way to see other tyers flies and to get some really great flies free!!! You tye 12 of your favorite flies, in return you get 11 flies back. What cooler thing is there than seeing what other tyers are tying.
