I'm actually very surprised at how snagless they can be. In june I was tossing them in the marshes for redfish in LA and often overshot the bank by just a bit and landed my fly into that thick grass and I never had one snag on the way out.

They also have worked well fishing the rocks off shore at Puerto Penasco whith a fast sinking line to get deep. Clousers would get the barbell eyes snagged in the rocks but the bendbacks just slid over them.

So I took the 6wt out with a t4 sink tip and gave the fly a whirl. No trout or salmanoids in my rivers but the bass and kitty fish sure seemed to like it.

The first set of flies arrived today from theboz. Some great looking Black Beauty Dace there.

Hard to believe, but only 10 days left to the November 1st deadline............................

I know that Ard's flies are in the mail; how are the rest of you coming along?

    Sounds good, brookfieldangler.

By the way, I keep a running tally of the sets of flies that I receive on the first post of the first page of this thread. So, if you want to see who's in, then keep checking that first post.

    Gotta go practice.......

I just need to get to the post office... a lot easier said than done for me.

All tied up, double cemented, eyes poked clear, toe-tagged and boxed up.
I'm currently out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message, and if you would like to reach me by phone, please hang up now.
