Alright, now is the time for tying while the dead of winter is upon us. How about some soft hackles for the coming spring time?

Sign up and join the fun.

Limit is set at 12 tyers
Tying deadline February 14 (Valentines)
Only rule is that it has to be a soft hackle.

Soft hackles are one of my favorite flies; both to fish and to tie. I'd be happy to participate in this tie. Valentine's Day would be fine for me.

I think I'm going to tie one of Stewarts original spider patterns. Probaby the one that's much-debated, due to the fact that there was never a mention of a body in his tying notes; only a hackle. I have some ideas as to how to go with this fly which will be interesting and which, I think, will catch fish!

Greenwood, I'll probaby be discussing this with you before I actually start tying these flies.

Yes please. Don't know what I'll tie yet, but I am in. Maybe a classic orange and partridge? I'll let you know.

I'm in. I'll be tying my notorious soft hackled diving caddis. (hereafter known as the SHDiC?)

Hmm, fuzzy tail or no?
