    Great looking lfies!

The recipe for the crackle back- I used a size 14 2x long hook. The body was yellow turkey fibers with peacock herl over that then with the brown feather and ribbed with pearl tinsel
The thread was yellow on all of them except the one pictured I believe

Sorry 'bout the missing recipe. It's a size 12 hook; brass bead thorax; flo-orange thread; chartreus marabou tail; chartreus chenile body; chartreus hackle. LOL! Lots of chartreus! And yeah....I'm spelling chartreus wrong ....can't seem to get it straight tonight!

Here is the recipe for mine:

    Mini Herl Bugger

    Hook: Sz 10 Tiemco
    Thread: 8/0 Black
.025 lead-free wire tied length-wise across top of shank
    Tail: Black Rabbit Fur
Body: 3 - 5 strands of peacock herl (with black thread wrapped in a quasi-dubbing loop)

As basic as this fly looks, the bluegill and smallies love it - and a big plus is that it is so easy and quick to tie. I also tie it for trout in smaller sizes.
