    Well, I sent mine out today. I don't normally fish or tie these, so this was a learning experience. I watched the video that someone had posted on here about chrominoids/midges and tried to tie something that represented the phase where they're ready to pop out of the surface film. I was going to post a picture of it but I'll be darned if I can figure out how to attach it! So, here's the recipe anyways.

    Hook: #18 Orvis 1639 emerger style
    Trailing shuck: Hi-vis antron
    body: black thread
    Ribbing: one strand of pearl krystal flash;
    thorax: black ostrich herl
    gills: tuft of white poly yarn

    I guess you'd fish it right under the surface film ......maybe use that sinking furled leader and let it do a slow rise to the top?! I usually fish streams and rivers and don't get to do the deep chrominoid fishing that some of you had mentioned. Here's hoping they work!
